EC's & Sports

I participated in Track & Field, Cross Country, the Academic Quiz Team, NHS, and the Robotics & Engineering Club during high school. These activities shaped my leadership skills and perseverance.

• Track & Field (Mid-distance Team Captain 11th&12th Grade): 800m (2:08), 1600m (4:50)

• Cross Country: 5K (17:44)
• Robotics/Engineering (Co-founder/President): Competed in many SkillsUSA & TSA events over the course of 4 years: Vex Robotics, Board Game Design, Additive Manufacturing, Engineering Problem-Solving events, 3D printing Medalion Design, Lego Robotics, and Circuits.
• Academic Quiz Team: Total of three years, First Year JV team. Next Two Years Varsity.
• National Honors Society: 40-50+ Service Hours for 2023-24 school year. 25+ for Senior Year so far.
• University of Cincinnati's Lego robotics team (1st year): I will be participating in the UC Lego Bots competition with both my high school and their college team.

Coding Projects

I wish I could’ve shared my work earlier, but after my GitHub account was hacked over the summer, I was unable to showcase my projects as much in my college applications or provide external links. Anyways, I developed an interest in coding during my sophomore year and have been exploring new coding languages in my free time through various resources like Codecademy and SoloLearn ever since. To challenge myself and apply what I’ve learned, I began replicating basic games. Here are some of the projects I’ve worked on:

• Tic-Tac-Toe Game – This was one of my first coding projects, where I developed a playable Tic-Tac-Toe game using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

• Doodle Jump Replica – This was one of the most challenging games I developed - an browser-based platformer I designed to enhance my understanding of game physics and canvas rendering, primarily using TypeScript, which is an enhanced version of JavaScript (When playing on a desktop, use the arrow keys to move around.)

• Tank Combat Game – This project is still in development, but I wanted to share my progress so far. I'm working on replicating BlockTanks, a tank battle game featuring increasing difficulty and strategic combat mechanics. (If playing on a desktop, use the arrow keys to move around and the space bar to shoot.)

• Scientific Calculator – My favorite coding project so far, where I attempted to replicate the Desmos Calculator. I managed to develope a comprehensive calculator with advanced mathematical and graphing functions.

• Academic Race Game – A project I created for fun, where I developed a real-time trivia game built with Flask and WebSockets, featuring timed questions and AI competitors.

These projects have significantly improved my problem-solving skills and understanding of coding algorithms, object-oriented programming, and full-stack development. With that said, there's always room for improvement so I plan on continuing to expand my knowledge and refining my work!
